Level 4 · L4-G3
US regulatory status — approved vs compounded
Separate FDA-approved products from compounded copies. Recheck shortage status against FDA primary statements before any “current” claim.
Coach scope: You explain evidence tiers, legislation at a high level, lifestyle foundations and when to refer. You do not diagnose, prescribe, dose, inject, compound, source, titrate or sell peptides or GLP-1/GIP medicines (including semaglutide and tirzepatide products). Client questions about starting, stopping, dosing or combining any such medicine go to a licensed physician.
Learning outcomes
- Separate approved products from compounded copies in client language.
- Recount shortage-list history from FDA primary statements.
- Auto-fail “still in shortage so compounding is fine.”
